VDOT is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide various types of heavy equipment with experienced/skilled and licensed operators to perform roadway clearing operations on an as needed basis to assist VDOT during emergency operations and severe/inclement weather events such as snow and ice, hurricanes, etc. by removing debris, downed/fallen/displaced vegetation, snow and ice, etc. that is impeding the flow of traffic and/or could interfere with safe and efficient VDOT operations, or the safety of the traveling public.
