The Powhatan County Public Schools of Powhatan, Virginia (hereinafter referred to as PCPS) is seeking bids from qualified Landscape Maintenance Service Bidders (hereinafter referred to as Provider(s), Bidder(s) and/or Contractor(s) to perform landscape services for Group IV consisting of fields as listed below. The Bidder is hereby made aware that the Powhatan County School Board anticipates that the landscape maintenance at these sites shall be of the very highest quality possible. All work to be performed within the scope of these specifications shall be strictly managed, executed, and performed by experienced personnel.
PCPS has contracted landscape services since 1998. Powhatan High School opened in 2003 and Flat Rock Elementary School opened in 2008. In 2009 the Landscape Maintenance Contract was divided into four groups as follows:
Group I. Powhatan Elementary School and Powhatan Middle School Group II. Pocahontas Elementary School and Pocahontas Landmark Center Group III. Powhatan High School and Flat Rock Elementary School Group IV. All Bermuda grass fields are as follows: one football/soccer field at Pocahontas Elementary School, two football/soccer fields, and baseball infield at Powhatan Middle School, two competition-football/soccer fields, one competition-field hockey/soccer field, one competition-baseball field, one practice-baseball field, one competition-softball field and one practice-softball field at Powhatan High School
