Independent Construction Inspection Services at TRACEN Birmingham-Southern

The Contractor shall provide continuous, independent construction inspection (CI) services to ensure compliance that all construction contractors and their subcontractors meet technical specifications, design documents, safety protocols, and USCG requirements for all repair and improvement projects at TRACEN Birmingham-Southern. These projects range across multiple disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, architectural, and life-safety, and include, but are not limited to, HVAC and roofing repairs/replacements, interior and exterior facility repairs, ATFP security upgrades, C5I system upgrades, and utility infrastructure modernization. Coordination between all projects is necessary.
Construction inspection requirements for this project include the labor, quality control services, and administrative items required to oversee and verify construction progress for the upgraded facilities and infrastructure improvements. Inspection services will span the entire construction duration, estimated at approximately 36 months, from pre-construction services and site preparation, through equipment installation, and ultimately to commissioning, closeout, and acceptance. The inspection services will be coordinated by the assigned Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and/or Contracting Officer (KO), and the CI will be in contact with the COR on a daily basis to provide updates on all project progress and problems.
