The Fort Sill Contracting Office intends to extend contract DABT39-01-D-0003 with the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services (ODRS) for installation food support services at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. The extension covers a six-month base period from April 1, 2007, through September 30, 2007, with two additional one-month option periods. This contract extension will be executed as a State Licensing Agency agreement under the Randolph Sheppard Act, which prioritizes blind vendors, and will maintain the same terms and conditions as the existing firm fixed price requirements contract. The purpose of this extension is to ensure uninterrupted service at the installation while a competitive follow-on contract is awarded. This action is authorized under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, which permits contracting without competition when only one responsible source exists and no other supplies or services meet agency requirements. The notice is posted for a 15-day period during which interested parties may submit written comments or evidence demonstrating that competition for the extension would benefit the Government. If no persuasive responses are received by February 21, 2007, the contract will be extended without further notice. Inquiries and responses are to be directed to Stephanie Murphree at the Fort Sill Contracting Office.
