Intent to Procure Sole Source

The VA Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas, intends to enter into sole source negotiations with The H.O.U.S.E., Inc. to provide community-based residential care for veterans enrolled in the VA Healthcare for Homeless Veterans Program within a 100-mile radius of the facility. The agency has determined that only this provider can meet the required service needs and plans to negotiate directly under the provisions of FAR 6.302. While this notice serves as a formal intent to proceed without competition, other interested parties are invited to submit their interest and capabilities by July 23, 2003, for the sole purpose of assessing whether a competitive procurement may be warranted. No solicitation will be issued, and all submitted information must be provided without cost or obligation to the government. The government retains full discretion to decide whether to open the contract to competition based on any responses received. All communications regarding this intent must be submitted in writing before the specified deadline, as telephone inquiries or late responses will not be accepted.
