AI Contract Overview
The Massachusetts Army National Guard (MAARNG) intends to award a sole source contract to ARI Phoenix Inc. for the procurement of two Hetra Lifts to be installed at MAARNG facilities. The purpose of acquiring these lifts from Ari-Hetra is to ensure seamless integration into the existing service contract, which covers ongoing maintenance and preventive upkeep of the equipment. This procurement action is being conducted as a fixed firm price purchase order under a sole source justification pursuant to federal regulations that restrict competition due to the unique capability of the identified contractor and the lack of alternative suppliers able to meet the agency’s requirements. The solicitation, titled "Intent to Sole Source: Hetra Lifts," was issued on May 20, 2026, with a response deadline of June 6, 2026. While this announcement signals a non-competitive procurement, other responsible sources may submit capability statements for government consideration, although the government reserves the right to proceed without competition. The contract will be managed by the Massachusetts National Guard’s Director of Logistics Service Maintenance Management Officer, with the point of contact for inquiries being Melissa Melcher and Lars Bernard. The acquisition ensures continuity in the maintenance and support of the lifts at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, under the Department of Defense’s Office designated for this action.
