Full Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Procurement Office East, Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) intends to award a sole source contract award to Hologic, Inc. 35 Crosby Drive, Bedford, MA 01730. The period of performance for contract award will be from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020. This requirement is to provide repair and maintenance, on the Hologic DEXA, Discovery A Bone Densitometer System. This will include providing all necessary labor, OEM parts and materials. The Hologic DEXA system is located at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Rd, Gainesville, FL 32608. All work shall be performed by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified technicians authorized by Hologic, Inc. to preform repairs and use only new OEM parts. Hologic, Inc is the only known provider since the equipment is proprietary and maintenance therefore can only be provided by Hologic, Inc. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in enough detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by December 9, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to contact@example.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
