The contract pertains to the procurement of five filter subassemblies, designated NSN 7H-5915-012965892-ED, under Technical Data Package Version 003, in accordance with reference number 6195797. The items are to be delivered FOB origin to Carleton Life Support Systems Inc., located in Davenport, Iowa. This notice indicates the Government’s intention to negotiate exclusively with a single source rather than soliciting competitive quotes. However, interested parties may express their interest and capabilities or submit quotes before the award date for consideration. The Government’s decision not to compete the contract is at its sole discretion and is normally based on whether adequate, accurate, or legible data exist to procure the part from alternative sources. Issued by the Naval Supply Weapons Systems Support Mechanic office of the Department of Defense in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, the contract falls under a presolicitation status as of June 26, 2012. It involves repair or modification services related to the filter subassembly. The lack of sufficient data to procure this item from sources other than the current provider drives the justification for a sole source award. This action is aligned with the agency’s operational requirements and supply chain constraints, ensuring continuity and reliability for critical defense support systems.
