Full Description

The U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division (AICD), Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to award a sole source (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) to Spectra Logic Corporation, located at 1700 North 55th Street, Boulder, CO 80301. The contractor shall provide maintenance to the Public Health Command [PHC] digital tape library. Only Spectra Logic engineers are authorized to work on this equipment. The proprietary nature of the technology contained within the instrument requires that only Spectra Logic perform maintenance and service procedures. The service must be performed by a Spectra Logic service engineer. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 811212 and the size standard is $25 Million. Interested persons may identify their interest, in writing, to the Government point of contact. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 4:30 PM, Eastern Standard Time, 06 December 2010. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers.
