This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the request for quote for the required item under PR N6146306RC108FN. A subsequent solicitation document will not be issued. FISC Norfolk intends to issue a firm fixed priced purchase order, on a sole source basis to Cummins Atlantic, 3739 Holland Road, Chesapeake VA 23323 the following services: (A). Maintenance - Cummins Engine Model 6BTA5.9-M to include: 1. replace head gasket; 2. complete tune up on engine; 3. change engine oil and filter; 4. test injection pump and nozzles; 5. clean hydro j/w cooler; 6. clean trans cooler; 7. clean after cooler; 8. flush coolant system; (B ). Maintenance - Cummins Engine Model 6BTA5.9-M to include 1. complete tune up on engine; 2. change engine oil and filter; 3. test injection pump and nozzles; 4. clean hydro j/w cooler; 5. clean trans cooler; 6. clean after cooler; 7. flush coolant system; (C). (A). Maintenance - Cummins Engine Model 6BTA5.9-M to include: recondition engine (quote does not include any items found during rebuild of engine). Maintenance to be completed by 15 December 2006. Requiring activity to deliver and pick-up engines.
