The US Army CECOM-Washington is seeking a contractor for the modification and enhancement of the Schiebel Vehicular Array Mine Detection System owned by the Humanitarian Demining Team. The project involves the design, fabrication, installation, documentation, training, and transportation required to convert the current front-mounted VAMIDS array into a side-mounted configuration for the LION II vehicle. This change is necessary to improve field safety by eliminating the risk of the vehicle running over detected mines. The effort is expected to be completed within a four-month duration under an anticipated fixed-price purchase order. While the agency intends to award this as a sole source procurement under 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), it will consider quotes from any responsible sources that can demonstrate the technical expertise and experience necessary to modify vehicular arrays. Interested offerors must submit responses no longer than five pages via email within 45 calendar days of the notice. The award will be made in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
