J -- Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract

Due to the unique design and compatibility requirements, no other vendors licensed by Westfalia Separator exist in the country who can supply parts that will properly fit and function for this equipment. Utilizing parts from other manufacturers would not only void warranties but could also pose significant risks of equipment failure or personnel injury. The fuel and lube oil purifiers onboard the vessel are critical components overseen by the American Bureau of Shipping through statutory Continuous Machinery and Special Machinery Surveys, emphasizing the importance of using authentic Westfalia Separator parts to maintain operational integrity and compliance.
