J--Services in Support of SEAWOLF Class Submarines, Virginia Class Submarines, and Los Angeles and Ohio Class Submarines

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia, plans to negotiate a three-year contract with Hamilton Sundstrand, located in Windsor Locks, CT, to provide specialized services involving labor, materials, support, and training. These services focus on diagnosing and resolving malfunctions in critical systems such as the Oxygen Generating Plant, Gas Management System, Electrolytic Chlorine Generator, Integrated Low Pressure Electrolyzer, and Central Atmosphere Monitoring System. The goal is to ensure these systems maintain safe and effective operational status on several classes of U.S. submarines, including SEAWOLF, Virginia, Los Angeles, and Ohio. Work under this contract may be performed at various global locations and will be carried out solely by Hamilton Sundstrand, as the government has determined it to be the only responsible source capable of fulfilling these requirements. This sole-source negotiation is authorized under federal regulations and specific defense procurement statutes. The contract reflects the Department of Defense’s commitment to maintaining critical submarine operational capabilities through targeted expert support and maintenance services provided by a qualified and proven contractor.
