J--Software Maintance on CPU LS-DYNA

The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity proposes to award to Livermore Software Technology Corp., 7374 Las Positas Road, Livermore, CA 94551 on a sole source basis, for maintance on 10 LS-DYNA CPUs. The maintance should include telephone support, electronic manuals with permission to copy, and additional CPU/machine changes and upgrades throughout five years.This is the only known source in the U.S. that can manufacture and provide this product. These consumables are specific to the instruments and generic substitutions are not validated nor will the manufacturer support the use of such supplies on-the instruments. This procurement shall be under other than full and open competition procedures in accordance with FAR 6.302. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for a competitive quote. Any response to this notice must be submitted in writing to the Government and show clear and convincing evidence that another source is capable of meeting the Government's requirements and that competition of the requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no written responses are received at least fifteen (15) days after the publication of this response, the purchase will be awarded without further notice.
