**NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE**
This is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) RFO 5.101(a) Presolicitation notice requirements and (FAR) RFO 12.102 Restricting Competition. This Notice of Intent is for a proposed award of an open market sole source award to BRUKER SCIENTIFIC LLC for a Maldi Biotyper Sirius CA, spectrometers mass, tag #68566, and serial number 189013341940. Located in the lab for Biomedical Engineering of the Hershel Woody Williams VA Medical Center, located at 1540 Spring Valley Drive, Huntington WV, 25704.
The proposed award is to BRUKER SCIENTIFIC LLC (SAM UEI: MG2JF771VWU5) this vendor has factory trained and authorized technicians that can work on this equipment. The anticipated service includes preventive and corrective maintenance, labor, replacement parts, software updates and upgrades, and technical support in accordance with the statement of work. Bruker Scientific LLC s January 5, 2026, letter states that it is the sole authorized U.S. service provider for Bruker Daltronics instruments and that its field service engineers receive factory training and certification and have access to Bruker technical support. These are Bruker s representations; the Government will consider information submitted by other capable sources.
This notice is not a solicitation. Any responsible source that believes it can meet the complete requirement may submit a capability statement with supporting documentation explaining its access to trained personnel, compatible parts, software updates, and technical support.
