AI Contract Overview
The Department of Homeland Security’s Information Technology Contracting Division is modifying Delivery Order 70B04C24F00000413 to extend the period of performance for Amazon Web Services Cloud Hosting and Marketplace Services under a firm, fixed-price arrangement. This modification bilaterally incorporates the Option to Extend Services clause, adding a six-month extension to the existing 12-month base period and 12-month option period, resulting in a total potential performance duration of 30 months. The extension ensures continuity of critical cloud services while providing sufficient time to recompete the requirement under a new procurement. The original order was awarded through a Justification for Exception to Fair Opportunity, permitting sole-source selection of AWS as a branded commercial service under NASA’s SEWP V GWAC, with award restricted to authorized small business resellers in Groups B, C, and D. The modification adheres to the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul provisions, specifically referencing FAR 52.212-4(d) and 16.507-6(b)(1), ensuring compliance with commercial item procurement rules. Performance will continue to be delivered from Ashburn, Virginia, with administrative oversight managed by the agency’s office in Washington, D.C.
