The Social Security Administration (SSA) requires ongoing maintenance and repair services for CANON Microfilm Reader/Printers located at two sites: the SSA Metro West Building in Baltimore, MD, and the Underground Records Center in Boyers, PA. The Baltimore location includes a substantial inventory of equipment such as 23 MS500 Digital Scanners, 23 100R Roll Carriers, 23 FilePrint 400 Laser Printers, among others, while the Boyers site houses additional CANON devices like 10 MS500 Digital Scanners and 30 MP60 Reader/Printers. Maintenance services are expected during normal business hours on weekdays, with next-day service guaranteed, at least two preventive maintenance visits annually, and all work must be performed by authorized CANON-certified technicians using OEM parts. The contractors must respond to service calls within 24 hours, provide warranted repairs valid for 12 months, and comply with updates or equipment changes as required by CANON or SSA. SSA plans to continue these maintenance contracts with MICROGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT DESIGN Inc. (MEDI) for the Baltimore location and I.M.R. Limited for Boyers, both being the only currently known authorized CANON maintenance providers at these sites. However, the agency is open to hearing from other qualified small businesses possessing the necessary CANON certifications, parts availability, and experienced staff that can meet the maintenance requirements. Interested parties are invited to submit capability statements and certification proof within seven business days, though this notice is not a solicitation for proposals, and SSA will neither respond to nor pay for solicitation requests. The contract falls under NAICS code 811212 and is managed through the SSA Office of Acquisition and Grants.
