Large Wheel Loader Rental

The City of Toledo's Department of Public Works Road and Bridge Maintenance is seeking bids for the rental of large wheel loaders to support its Snow & Ice Program. This contract does not guarantee a minimum quantity and allows the City flexibility to adjust the number of loaders rented based on operational needs. Vendors are required to complete and submit various City forms with their bids, including acknowledgment of contract conditions, subcontractor documentation, a living wage contract addendum, and best bid criteria. Submission of a bid guaranty equal to 2.5% and a bid bond of 5% is also mandated. Upon contract award, additional documentation such as payment and performance bonds, and possibly a Project Labor Agreement, will be necessary. The contract requires the successful bidder to provide certified payroll reports starting two weeks after the commencement of work, continuing on a weekly basis. Prior to beginning any work, a mandatory pre-construction meeting with the Contract Compliance office must be held to ensure alignment with contract requirements.
