Full Description
This notice is being published as required by FAR 5.201(b)(1).
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) Lakehurst, NJ has identified the need to procure four (4) Eaton Pump Tests; eight (8) Eaton Flush extra flushing services and Oil Blending for the Vane Pump to support the evaluation of anti-wear properties of hydraulic fluids in support of the Nimitz Launch and Recovery - Launcher (Steam Catapults) Program.
The Government intends to procure the above items on a sole source basis to the OEM Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) (Cage 00JW9) under the authority of 10USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The solicitation, when issued, will be for a firm-fixed price contract.
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation which may be used by the government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Hard copies of the solicitation and amendments will NOT be mailed to the contractors. The government will only accept electronic quotations.
