Lease, Operation, and Management of Robert Strickland Shooting Range

The Volusia County Community Services agency is seeking proposals for the lease, operation, and management of the Robert Strickland Shooting Range under solicitation number 26-P-133JJ. Located at 1180 Indian Lake Road in Daytona Beach, Florida, the 10-acre facility is built to National Rifle Association standards and features a state-of-the-art baffling and berm system to ensure safety. Originally established in 1970 and donated by the Consolidated Tomoka Land Company, the range has been operated by the Volusia County Parks, Recreation and Culture Division for over 55 years. Interested parties must submit their responses by the deadline of October 7, 2026. As part of the bidding process, applicants are required to submit a Prime/Subcontractor Form detailing all proposed subcontractors, including their company names, addresses, and the specific dollar values and percentages of work they will perform. The prime contractor remains responsible for ensuring all subcontractors hold the necessary licenses, and any modifications to the proposed subcontractor list require prior approval from the County Project Manager. Failure to provide this documentation may result in a bid being deemed non-responsive.
