The Robert Strickland Shooting Range, established in 1970, is named in honor of former Volusia County Commissioner Robert Strickland, who served on the Volusia County Council from 1964 to 1972 and served as Chair in 1969 and 1971. The 10-acre facility, located at 1180 Indian Lake Road, Daytona Beach, Florida 32124, was donated to the County by Consolidated Tomoka Land Company. The Range is currently operated by the Volusia County Parks, Recreation and Culture Division and has served the shooting sports community for over 55 years. The facility is built to National Rifle Association (NRA) standards and features a state-of-the-art baffling and berm system designed to ensure shooter safety and prevent projectiles from leaving the range.
