Letter of Interest - Taxicab/Passenger Transport services, Eugene/Springfield or other cities /areas in Lane County

The County uses taxi (hired autos) services on both an immediate “as needed” basis and, in some cases, enrolls certain clients of County services for ongoing or regularly scheduled services.  An example of the “as needed” is if a client cannot make it to an appointment with County staff without door-to-door transportation.  An example of pre-scheduled services is when a client is receiving training or other support that has a regular weekly or other schedule. Most commonly these services support travel to work sites when public transportation is not available (late evenings/early mornings).
The County is not required to competitively select for these client services.  Responsive *submissions of Letters of Interest (LOIs) to this posting will result in a contract being offered to the respondent.

Please note that the County averages close to 1,000 pre-scheduled rides per month, primarily to support alter-abled clients whose work hours are outside of the hours when public transportation is available.  In consideration of this very stable, high volume usage, the County is interested in receiving lower costs per rider than an agency might usually charge.
