Limited Competition: Research Education Program for the Clinical and Translational Science Awards Program

The Congressionally mandated Clinical and Translational Science Award Program aims to accelerate the translation of scientific discoveries into practical treatments, diagnostics, and health interventions that enhance patient and public health by establishing a national network of academic medical centers equipped with the infrastructure, expertise, training, and collaborative frameworks necessary to bridge laboratory research with clinical and community practice. This forecasted limited competition seeks to support research education activities that complement and strengthen the training of a skilled workforce capable of addressing the nation’s demands in biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research, aligning with the broader goals of the CTSA Program. Awards will be issued under the authority of Sections 301 and 405 of the Public Health Service Act as amended and governed by Federal Regulations 42 CFR Part 52 and 2 CFR Part 200. Only eligible organizations may apply, and submissions will undergo the National Institutes of Health’s standard peer-review process, with funding reserved for the most meritorious proposals.
