LMDS MailRoom Licenses

This is for information purposes only: The U.S. Department of State, Office of Acquisitions, intends to issue a Sole Source purchase order to Northrop Grumman Information Systems to purchase an additional 25,000 licenses for the LMDS MailRoomTM Solver Dissemination System, Product ID MR-4 and Maintenance, Product ID MR-4-M. With an option for additional quantities. The following specific characteristics are required. - Software profiling support: o May be tailored to recognize any language and character set, including binary, and control characters. o Accepts messages from multiple sources and routes them to multiple destinations, e-mail addresses, FTP hosts, files, and databases. o Zoning analysis and a sophisticated profile language optimize recall and precision; term-weighting capability permits users to develop custom algorithms for scoring messages in terms of their relevance to a profile. o Requires no specialized hardware. o Supports standard, RFC-compliant communications protocols. o Uses least frequent trigraph (LFT) algorithm to optimize the speed of matching profiles with incoming messages. o Provides 1,000 search terms of up to 256 characters. - Profile maintenance support: o List all compiled profiles in a library. o List all profile indexes in a library o List all current reference indices in a library's .REF file o List and optionally displays all Source profiles in a library o Generate statistics profile report o Generate a profile's source, compiled version, profile index, and to and-from references o Generate a trigraph probability file o Analyze the Profile libraries o Recover a Profile library form the backup library o Provide a simple user interface to profiling operations o Provide a simple interface for system operator actions o Dumps the contents of a compiled profile into human-readable format. o Remove or delete a LMDS Profile library o Searches a library for a pattern in a profile o Compile a Source Zone Spec into an object module o Combine Zone Spec into an object module o Facilitate debugging a Zone Spec order for a message to hit a profile. - Profile type support: o Restriction Profiles - assign recipients to the message, provide a restricted list of recipients, and prevent processing by other profile types o Selection Profiles - choose additional library(s) of profiles to be processed with the current message. o Global Logic Profiles - produces only the hit or miss status of its search logic. o Global Term Profiles - contain collections of related words that users can reference as an entire list of words in their profiles. o Dissemination Profiles - users can write these profiles to select the messages they want to receive. - Logic expression support: o LOGIC EXPRESSIONS - relationship between Terms or groupings of Terms. ? Syntactical Logic Expression - conditions of the Term relationships in a profile. ? Proximity Expression - how far apart Terms can occur in the message to match a profile; user can specify the distance between Terms as a number of words or characters. ? Global Reference Expression - a global logic profile is part of the Term logic; global logic profiles are referenced in the logic statement just like Term labels. ?
