FORD CLASS LOW PRESSURE AIR PLANT COMPRESSOR #6

The contract solicitation seeks technical services to perform troubleshooting, repairs, and operational testing on the RIX Technologies Model MARC 350B Low Pressure Air Plant Compressor #8 located onboard a naval vessel at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia. The work is required to address a specific injection water pressure fault and must include a satisfactory full load operational test upon completion, adhering strictly to NAVSEA Technical Manual S6220-CR-MMA-A10 and other referenced standards including NAVSEA Standard Items 009-001, 009-004, 009-060, and 009-107. The contractor must maintain Level II Cleanliness on Low Pressure Air, Potable Water, and Chilled Water System components, verified through a Cleanliness Verification Sign-Off Sheet, and comply with Federal OSHA requirements for hazardous energy control and other safety protocols outlined in the Norfolk Naval Shipyard OSHE Control Manual and the NAVSEA Tag-out Users Manual. All work must be completed by one month prior to the PW42 project milestone, with contractor personnel required to be onsite within seven days of notification and provide weekly email updates to NNSY by 1200 on Tuesdays following each visit. The period of performance extends from August 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027. Contractors must possess a Confidential – Red Badge security clearance and a valid Facility Clearance, and all personnel must obtain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) card for access, with SECNAV 5512 forms submitted to the NNSY Sponsor or Contracting Officer’s Representative. Access to restricted data, nuclear areas, or classified information requires additional clearance and formal request through DISS. The contractor is responsible for providing all tools, test equipment, consumables, and personnel protective equipment.
