Minor Modification Case No. MOD26-0031 & Environmental Assessment Case No. EA26-0003

The City of Rancho Mirage is overseeing Minor Modification Case No. MOD26-0031 and Environmental Assessment Case No. EA26-0003 for the Eisenhower Health Campus in Rancho Mirage, California. This project involves site modifications across approximately 8.6 acres to enhance electrical capacity, parking, and support infrastructure. Key deliverables include the establishment of a new Southern California Edison 33kV electrical service within an enclosed structure, the installation of two exterior yard enclosures for HVAC equipment and electrical transformers, and the creation of two additional enclosures for trash and landscape maintenance equipment. The scope of work further includes the construction of a new parking lot featuring approximately 417 additional spaces with covered photovoltaic capacity, general landscape improvements, and the relocation of construction trailers. To ensure site security and aesthetics, a new block wall will be installed along the Vista Del Sol frontage and exterior project boundaries, with no vehicular access permitted to Vista Del Sol. The project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act under Section 15162, as it conforms with the Eisenhower Medical Center Specific Plan Amendment and its associated Environmental Impact Report.
