Modified Gaming Consoles for CCHCS

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, specifically California Correctional Health Care Services, is soliciting offers for the provision of modified gaming consoles and accessories for mental health recreational therapy groups. The contractor is required to implement strict security modifications to the hardware, including the permanent removal of game cartridge readers, the sealing of MicroSD cards with epoxy, and the complete disabling of Wi-Fi and physical network or phone connections, while maintaining Bluetooth functionality for controllers. Deliverables include the consoles, clear locking security cases, and various Nintendo controllers, all delivered to Pelican Bay State Prison within 30 days of order receipt. The contractor must also create new Nintendo accounts for each console and provide a minimum 12-month warranty mirroring the manufacturer's warranty, including the provision of one loaner device per ten consoles for repairs exceeding two weeks.
