Monterey Growers, Inc

The California Department of Cannabis Control approved a commercial cannabis license for Monterey Growers, Inc. on February 27, 2025, for a facility located at 11500 Dolan Rd, Moss Landing, CA 95039. This action replaces an existing annual license and encompasses Specialty Indoor, Small Indoor, Processor, and Nursery designations. The project is situated on a 183-acre property within a Heavy Industrial zone and utilizes approximately 20,000 square feet of existing building footprint. The operation includes up to 15,000 square feet of mature canopy and 5,000 square feet of immature canopy, utilizing a tiering system and indoor LED lighting. All immature plant growth is conducted under the Nursery license, while processing, packaging, and harvest storage are managed under the Processor license. There is no proposed expansion, construction, seed production, or research and development occurring on-site. The project is granted a Class 1 Categorical Exemption under the California Environmental Quality Act, as it involves minor alterations with negligible expansion and no significant change in activity. Water services are provided by the Pajaro Sunny Mesa Community Services District, and power is supplied by PG&E. This action is a regulatory licensing approval rather than a competitive procurement contract; therefore, it does not contain federal acquisition clauses, pricing structures, or standard procurement evaluation factors. All operations and inspections are centered at the Moss Landing location, with the Department of Cannabis Control serving as the approving authority.
