The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research to identify qualified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) for the replacement of the intercom system at the C.W. Young Veterans Medical Center in Bay Pines, Florida. This sources sought notice is informational and not a solicitation, aimed at determining if the requirement can be set aside specifically for SDVOSBs; if insufficient responses are received, the set-aside consideration may shift to Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs) or Small Businesses (SBs) more broadly. Interested businesses are asked to respond with a capability statement by March 17, 2026. The project involves supplying, removing, and installing a new IP intercom system comprising three zones with a total of 42 locations, including handheld and wall stations, using either the specified Zenitel ICX Intelligent Communications System or an equivalent product. The contractor will also be responsible for demoing and disposing of the existing system, including all associated materials and raceways, as well as fire sealing, drywall repair, painting, and restoring the areas to their original condition. Work must comply with all relevant government regulations and be scheduled outside of surgical and imaging operating hours, avoiding federal holidays. The contract includes furnishing employee training, warranty documentation, and conducting final inspections with local staff, with a total performance period of 120 days from award.
