The project consists of extending the Building 1 Wing 6 demising wall vertically to the structural concrete deck above to eliminate a 2–3.5 ft gap and thermally and mechanically isolate Wing 6 from the Spine corridor. Work also includes sealing penetrations and abandoned penetrations with fire‑rated materials where the wall separates the Women’s restroom from the Spine corridor. An optional scope may include reconstructing storage room #4089, installing hollow metal door frames and doors with security hardware, sealing wall penetrations with fire-rated sealant, providing additional fire sprinkler protection as required, installing interior lighting, and installing NIST-standard interior signage. The contractor will provide all labor, materials, site protection, debris removal, and coordination required to complete the work in accordance with NIST campus safety and construction requirements.
