The Department of the Navy, through Navfac Mid-Atlantic, is forecasting a project for the repair of WWTP Clarifier #2 and associated valve repairs in Norfolk. This effort is driven by urgent operational concerns regarding the facility's ability to handle historical material volumes while operating at only 50 percent capacity. To mitigate these risks, there is a priority requirement to establish an emergent task order for a rental clarifier to be in place by August. This temporary measure is intended to ensure adequate treatment capabilities while the permanent repairs to the existing infrastructure are completed.

Given the actual data attached re: volume of treated material last year, I think we need to move forward with a (emergent??) task order to get a rental clarifier in place for August. I have significant concerns about our ability to treat historical volume at 50% capacity. Validating and moving this forward is priority #1.
