AI Contract Overview
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) intends to award a sole source contract to Flight Safety International for providing initial, recurrent, and advanced training services specific to pilots, mechanics, and crew members operating or maintaining the newly acquired Gulfstream GVIII-G700 aircraft. This contract is being pursued under the authority that allows for sole source procurement when only one responsible source can meet the agency's requirements. The justification for this sole source approach is based on the need for specialized training that requires model-specific Level D simulators and FAA-approved curricula, which only Flight Safety International currently offers. The contract falls under the NAICS code 611512, corresponding to professional organizations, with a small business size standard of $34 million. While this notice serves as the only public announcement of the USCG's intent and no formal solicitation will be issued, other interested parties may submit capability statements by June 8, 2026, to be considered in case a competitive procurement opportunity arises. The training will take place in Savannah, Georgia, under the administration of the Department of Homeland Security’s Hq Contract Operations. Points of contact for inquiries include Jessica A. Griffin and Heather A. Weaver, with all submissions required electronically.

Any capability statements received will be considered for the purpose of determining to cancel action and conduct a competitive procurement.

Response Instructions: Interested parties may submit capability statements electronically to jessica.a.griffin@uscg.mil no later than June 8, 2026 11:59PM.
