Full Description

NA The US Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, intends to award Westerink & Leuttich Consulting Services of South Bend, IN, a sole source, firm-fixed price, purchase order for the professional engineering services of Westerink & Leuttich. These ser vices will include changes, improvements, and implementations to the ADCIRC-NOD storm surge numerical model designed and developed to determine water levels and currents due to various forcings. The model is being used by the New Orleans District to deter mine water level elevations due to the storm surge resulting from tropical storms. These water levels are essential to the design of hurricane protection levees. Westerink & Leuttich are both the developers and copyright holders of the ADCIRC Circulation software. As such the source code is proprietary and all development and distribution are owned by Westerink and Leuttich. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations and a determination has been made by the Government not to compete this procurement due to its proprietary nature and it is conside red a follow-on contract.
