The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to award a Sole Source contract to Fitzgerald Equipment Company, Inc. located at 4650 Boeing Drive, Rockford, IL 61109. The estimated period of performance is July 1, 2020 thru June 30, 2024 and consist of a base year plus three option years. Fitzgerald will provide monthly preventative maintenance; scale balancing and service calls for IRS NDC's Automated Conveyor System which is comprised of brand name Hytrol and Wipotec-OCS automatic conveyor, accumulation, sorter, controller systems and checkweigher scanner-scales. Fitzgerald is the only manufacturer-authorized vendor within the geographical area that can service the Wipotec-OCS Checkweigher scales. In addition, Fitzgerald owns the propriety and patented hardware, software and algorithms that are used in these products and support the services specifically required. The proposed procurement is made under the authority granted under FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
