Full Description

In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration Acquisition Management System (FAA AMS) paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to modify the current competitive contract with Frequentis USA Inc. (FUSA). FUSA provides Interim Switch Replacement System (IVSR) voice switches for newly constructed facilities (i.e., tower and terminal radar approach control (TRACON)) and replacement switches for existing facilities. FUSA furnishes all hardware and software as well as test, deliver, install and provide the life cycle support requirements. The IVSR Program is using existing commercial solutions, where practical, to accommodate voice switch configurations of at least 80 positions, 100 frequencies and 100 trunks. The IVSR voice switches have previously been approved, tested and fielded in the NAS. The FAA intends to issue a contract modification against Contract No. DTFAWA-12-C-00055 to incorporate activities from the Department of Defense that will raise the contract ceiling. The total contract length of 10 years will remain unchanged and will end on 11 September 2022, with all options exercised. All interested parties are advised that the FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry in response to this announcement. Therefore, any costs associated with submissions will be solely at the interested party’s expense. Further, the FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. Responses to this announcement must be submitted not later than 5:00 P.M. local time on 19 April 2016. Responses, including attachments, must be submitted electronically, as a MS Word file, to the following email address: contact@example.gov. All responses (one response per company) are to be provided on company letterhead. No type font less than 12 point may be used.
