The Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific plans to award a sole source contract modification to increase the ceiling of an existing firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract for AN/FPN-68A Precision Approach Radar system hardware. This modification will raise the contract ceiling by up to $2,000,000 to procure critical hardware components such as transmit/receive modules, waveform generators, up converters, circuit card assemblies, power supplies, and electromechanical relays. These components are essential to ensure compatibility and interoperability with the current AN/FPN-68A radar systems, supporting operations at various Air Force Bases and Foreign Military Sales locations. The contract falls under the NAICS code 334511 and has an ordering period that extends to July 23, 2024, should all option years be exercised. Funding for the modification will be allocated at the task order level, and the action is justified under the premise that only one responsible source exists to meet the agency’s requirements, with no alternative supplies or services acceptable. The justification and approval for this sole source action will be documented in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation guidelines. This announcement serves as a notice of intent rather than a solicitation and does not limit the government’s ultimate acquisition strategy. For further inquiries, contact information is available for designated contract specialists within NIWC Pacific.
