Full Description

This is a Notice of Intent to Increase the Ceiling of Contract N66001-13-C-4044 to Raytheon BBN, awarded by SSC Pacific on behalf of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency Information Innovation Office (DARPA I2O) on 27 September 2013 for a performance period of 48 months (Base of 24 months and two, 12-month options). The effort under the contract is in support of the DARPA I2O Program, Vetting Commodity IT Software and Firmware (VET), and involves innovative research in the area of characterizing hardware and the software of an IT device, developing attack graph generation algorithms and applying logic programming and model checkers to generate a prioritized checklist of potential vulnerabilities. Raytheon BBN will provide other VET performers with the prioritized check list while delivering generation tools and technology at the end of each phase. Under this additional effort Raytheon BBN will apply their vulnerability research on the SeL7 microkernal to look for possible attack methods in the quadcopter, a task that builds on earlier effort. This added task would aid in validating the research by applying it to an existing hardware platform that is of interest to the Government. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541712 Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Biotechnology). Due to the nature of Research and Development efforts, DARPA I2O could not have reasonably estimated the results and/or need for additional research under this program. This action includes a ceiling increase of approximately $206,148.00 with no change in length of contract performance. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes, however, interested parties may submit comments in writing to the Contract Specialist, Ms. Sabina Sabedra, Code 22530, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Pacific who may be reached by telephone at +1 (555) 000-0000 or via email to contact@example.gov. This notice will be posted for 15 days. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
