Optical Communications Project Spitfire Gimbal Optical Payload Conceptual Design

N66001-17-T-0037 The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific, hereby publicizes its intention to award a firm fixed price contract to L3 Sonoma EO, 428 Aviation Boulevard, Santa Rosa, CA 95403. The potential contractor will provide conceptual design for an optical communication laser system to be installed inside the L-3 Sonoma Airborne Spitfire Turret Gimbal system. The period of performance on the requirement will be three (3) months. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. Purchase Order to be awarded IAW Simplified Acquisition FAR Part 13. No hard copy RFQ will be prepared or made available for distribution. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Be advised that the aforementioned information is anticipatory in nature and is not binding. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firm believing that it can fulfill the requirement of providing these services may be considered by the agency.
