Full Description

Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SSC$B!>(BAtlantic), N. Charleston, SC, intends to modify the existing contract by increasing the cumulative not to exceed contract ceiling amount for contract N65236-18-C-8009 by approximately $6,000,000.00. This modification is necessary to allow the contractor to perform the same types of Technical Area 1 activities across a broader range of architecture concepts; specifically, expanded mission area concepts encompassing multiple domains and expanded evaluations of new systems that promise significant increases in capability and/or cost reduction. The original contract was awarded in April 2018, which resulted from a Broad Agency Announcement (HR001117S0046) issued by DARPA on 11 September 2017. This action is being pursued under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This Notice of Intent to modify this contract is not a request for competitive proposals. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of the work required would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the contract modification action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
