The National Institute of Health Clinical Center plans to award a sole source purchase order to Blackford Analysis Limited to implement their Blackford Platform across the clinical radiology workflow. This platform hosts multiple AI and traditional algorithms designed to process medical images efficiently. It automatically selects relevant algorithms based on anatomical and clinical data from RIS orders or DICOM headers, while also allowing manual routing of imaging studies from various sources. The system is built to integrate seamlessly with existing PACS and radiology IT infrastructure without causing performance issues, regardless of the volume of studies at the site. Additionally, the Blackford Platform offers a web-based monitoring tool to track algorithm performance and the number of studies processed. Deployment options include onsite hardware, secure cloud environments, or a hybrid of both, tailored to meet the clinical center's needs. This Notice of Intent serves as an announcement rather than a solicitation, indicating that no request for quotations will be issued, and confirms the agency’s intent to contract directly with Blackford Analysis Limited for these services. The contract addresses the need for sophisticated AI integration in clinical radiology while ensuring smooth operational flow within existing healthcare IT systems.
