Full Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), soliciting from a single source, to Cellular Technology Limited (CTL), for a maintenance agreement on a CTL Analyzer (Model S6MACRO-01-3743). The agreement will cover preventive maintenance, repair, and OEM-certified parts and service for the Analyzer, which is mission-critical to the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Diseases. Justification OEM Exclusivity: CTL is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and the sole provider of maintenance, parts, and service for the S6MACRO-01-3743 Analyzer. Warranty and Certification: Only CTL can guarantee certified technicians, OEM parts, and factory-level warranty coverage. Compatibility and Performance: Service from third parties would void OEM certification and potentially compromise data integrity required for CDC's research activities. Market Research: Market research confirmed no other vendors are authorized to provide maintenance for this model. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties who believe they can provide equivalent services may submit capability statements, which shall be considered solely for determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in response to this notice. Responses Responses must be received no later than 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), September 18, 2025, and sent electronically to: Point of Contact: Eric A. Uhls Contract Specialist Email: kpy5@cdc.gov Phone: 770.488.2923

NCHS/Division of Vital Statistics Coding of the Vital Statistics Data
Solicitation # CDC-NCHS-2027-10162026
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, through the National Center for Health Statistics Division of Vital Statistics, is conducting market research to identify qualified sources for information management services. The primary objective is the manual coding of causes of death on mortality and fetal death records for the National Vital Statistics System, specifically targeting records that cannot be processed electronically. The scope includes quality control, automated-system validation, and the use of ICD-based procedures. This effort falls under NAICS code 561499 and is currently in the sources sought phase to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy, which may include various small-business set-asides. The requirement demands high-volume coding capacity, with an expected monthly volume of 25,000 to 45,000 records and a strict quality threshold requiring an error rate below four percent per coder. Qualified providers must supply NCHS-certified nosologists or similarly qualified medical coders and demonstrate the ability to begin performance within one week of award. Performance is expected to occur primarily via remote telework during standard weekday business hours. Due to the sensitive nature of the data, contractors must comply with FIPS 199, Executive Order 13556 regarding Controlled Unclassified Information, and the HHS Information Security Program, utilizing government-furnished equipment and PIV cards for secure network access.
