The Peace Corps intends to award a firm fixed-price contract on a sole source basis to Lynda.com, 6410 Via Real, Carpinteria, CA 93013 in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) to procure an agency-wide enterprise license renewal for Lynda.com. The Peace Corps' staff requires ongoing education and cross training in the latest development software, but agency resources cannot satisfy the training needs. Access to the training must be unrestricted, available online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and accessible from any of the Peace Corps Post around the world. Lynda.com provides training videos of comprehensive scope for more than 740 current commercial-off-the-shelf software packages, including a majority of the packages currently in use within the Peace Corps. Online access to the 2,870 courses is a resource that is unmatched by any other known provider.
