NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Stratasys Inc. 28403 Network Place, Chicago Il. 60673, (Cage Code: 1GKB4) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East, MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for Preventative Maintenance of one (1) Fortus 400 3D Printer, one (1) 900MC Fortus Printer, and one (1) Dimension SST 1200 3D Printer for a period of one (1) year. Period of performance is 30 December 2015 through 29 December 2016. Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required service. Therefore, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from Stratasys Inc. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which, if received no later than 10:00am EST on 18 December 2015, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
