Solicitation # ozKDc97zu0ZBwCfJ
The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) provides grants to cover publication costs for high-quality, peer-reviewed scientific research directly linked to SNSF-funded projects. Funding is specifically designated for the gold open access route, ensuring research is immediately available free of charge and without restrictions. Eligible funding includes Article Processing Charges (APCs) for journal articles, Book Chapter Processing Charges (BCPCs), and Book Processing Charges (BPCs) for monographs and edited volumes. Starting January 1, 2027, the upper limit for APCs is 3,500 francs, and the SNSF will no longer cover costs exceeding this amount. Funding for BPCs varies by module, with a basic module up to 12,000 francs and supplementary modules ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 francs based on character count. To qualify, articles must be published in fully open access journals of a recognized scientific standard; publications in hybrid journals and special issues are not funded. Eligible researchers must be part of an SNSF-funded project, and the grant number must be cited in the article's acknowledgments. The SNSF utilizes ChronosHub as a service partner for processing APC invoices, which, as of January 1, 2025, are paid directly to publishers rather than as refunds to authors. For BPCs, strict quality control is required, including at least one external independent written review of the entire manuscript. Applications are accepted year-round via the designated SNSF or partner platforms, provided that metadata is submitted and the work is deposited in approved repositories.

The CDC plans to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Professional Sports Publications (PSP) for a Super Bowl advertisement focused on cancer awareness and education. This initiative seeks to leverage the extensive reach of the Super Bowl program's print and digital platforms to disseminate important cancer prevention and control messages to a broad audience. This contract follows a non-competitive protocol as outlined under FAR 13.106-1(b) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). While the government is not actively seeking competitive bids, it will entertain quotations or responses received within four days of the notice publication for the purpose of assessing the potential for a competitive procurement.
