The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) has a requirement for a Communications Consultant to fulfil all aspects of the Ombudsman's mandate as outlined in the Order in Council (OiC), the CORE requires the production and publication of a number of reports on activities and complaints, including but not limited to: An Annual Report to Parliament; quarterly reporting on complaints; initial, interim, final and follow-up reports relating to reviews; and, country visit reports. Other reports and publications may be required, as needs arise. To further support the reporting needs of the office, additional creative products may be required, such as video development and production. The contractor is to undertake full management, from concept to coordination and execution of final product(s), including adhering to the CORE’s brand standards, and the Federal Identity Program, thematic development, coordination of content, writing, original graphic design and layout, of the CORE’s required reporting as well as contribute to the development of other supporting communications products as needs arise. The contractor will work unilaterally with all teams, including Global Affairs Canada’s web development team and adhering to their web publishing standards, to deliver high quality, professional, hard-copy print and digital communications products while managing sometimes multiple, competing deadline(s).
