AI Contract Overview
The Nebo School District is notifying the public of its intent to award a contract for private nursing services to Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. without a competitive bidding process, citing justification under the Utah Procurement Code that standard procurement procedures are impractical or not in the district’s best interest. The decision is based on specific criteria such as the uniqueness of the provider, significant transitional costs associated with switching providers, or exceptional circumstances that make a traditional procurement process unsuitable. The Conducting Procurement Unit has submitted documentation supporting this decision, which must be reviewed to fully understand the rationale. The notice was posted on July 22, 2026, and responses are due by July 29, 2026, with the contract expected to provide essential nursing services to the school district across Utah. All details regarding the scope, duration, and justification for this non-competitive award are contained in the supporting files linked in the solicitation.

Full Description
Nebo School District, Purchasing Department publishes this notice pursuant to the Utah Procurement Code. The Conducting Procurement Unit submitted this form to the Purchasing Department claiming that it intends to award a contract without competition if it is determined by the Division of Purchasing, in writing, that:
there is only one source for the procurement item;
transitional costs are a significant consideration in selecting a procurement item; or
the award of a contract is under circumstances, described in rules adopted by the applicable rulemaking authority, that make awarding the contract through a standard procurement process impractical and not in the best interest of the procurement unit.
In the Files section the Conducting Procurement Unit has identified its justification for wanting to award a contract without engaging in standard procurement process. You MUST read all of the documentation in the Files.
