Support of program objectives - The Midwest Workshop is an environmental health conference offered by Ohio Dept. of Health (ODH) to environmental health specialists and environmental health specialists in training as a low-cost way to obtain their continuing education hours. We plan to hold this conference in Columbus, Ohio. Preference will be given to a location on the outside of SR270 offering free parking with plenty of places for the attendees to eat and/or lodge during the conference.We are looking for a facility that can accommodate up to 300 guests in a large room for 2 days. An additional break out room will be needed that can hold up to 200 guests for two days. AV/Sound equipment should be included in the pricing of the meeting space. We will need mounted projectors, projection screens, AV tables with electric, lecterns, sound system, handheld mics and lapel mics for each room. Water stations for attendees should be included in the price. Two tables for conference registration will be needed in a lobby area outside of the main large room.
