On-Call Pavement Marking Services

The City of Claremont is soliciting bids for on-call pavement marking services under solicitation number 20261014072. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, and equipment to perform tasks including mobilization, traffic control, grinding off existing markings, applying thermoplastic traffic stripes and legends, and installing blue double reflector pavement markers at fire hydrants. All work must comply with Caltrans Standard Specifications Section 84-2 and Standard Plans. Thermoplastic materials must meet State Specifications 8010-21-C-21 or 8010-21C-19, with glass beads conforming to State Specification 8010-21C-22 (Type II). The material manufacturer must be ISO 9001:2008 certified for reflective highway markings, and the contractor must hold a C-32 California State Contractors License and a City Business License. The agreement is structured as a two-year initial term with the possibility of three additional 12-month extensions, totaling up to five years, and can be cancelled by either party with 30 days written notice. Bidders must self-perform 100 percent of the work and adhere to California prevailing wage laws. Required insurance includes Comprehensive Commercial General Liability, Comprehensive Automobile Liability, and Workers Compensation/Employer's Liability. Bids must be submitted via the provided Bid Sheet by November 2, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. to the Community Services Department or electronically to Cari Dillman and the City Clerk's Office.
