Optometry Services at Elgin County Long-Term Care Homes

The County of Elgin is soliciting proposals under solicitation number 2026-P38 for a professional Optometry Service Provider to deliver comprehensive vision care to residents across its three long-term care homes. The selected provider, who must be registered with the College of Optometrists and Opticians of Ontario, will be responsible for developing and implementing a service program, supplying all CSA-approved equipment, and managing the billing process for vision wear. Key operational requirements include scheduling appointments Monday through Friday during specified daytime hours, providing resident reports within three days of each visit, and completing mandatory Ministry of Long-Term Care online training.
