Ornamental Gates & Fence

The Jefferson Parish Government is soliciting bids for the provision of labor, materials, and equipment to install two ornamental gates and one ornamental fence at Parc Des Familles in Marrero, Louisiana. The scope of work includes the installation of one 5-foot wide single swing gate and one 8-foot wide double swing gate, both of which must match the existing four-rail flat top style with puppy pickets. Additionally, the contractor is required to remove 253 feet of existing black ornamental aluminum fence and install 291 feet of existing powder-coated maintenance-free fence panels, including a specific panel swap at the dog park. All new posts must be 3-inch square black aluminum, 7 feet long, and set in 3000 psi concrete with holes measuring 12 inches in diameter and 30 inches deep. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The successful contractor must obtain all necessary permits from the Jefferson Parish Department of Inspection and Code Enforcement and adhere to strict insurance requirements per Parish Resolutions 136353 or 141125. The apparent low bidder must provide compliant insurance certificates within ten calendar days of the bid opening. Once a Notice to Proceed is issued, all work must be substantially completed within 21 consecutive calendar days. Work is to be performed between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, and the contractor is responsible for maintaining a clean job site and ensuring the safety of the general public and parish employees.
