Parks Drainage Upgrades

The City of Saskatoon is seeking a contractor for solicitation RFQ 26-0456 to perform drainage upgrades at selected parks throughout the city. The scope of work includes earthworks, grading, the installation and modification of drainage infrastructure, and associated irrigation modifications to improve surface drainage and park functionality. The project involves specific locations such as Parc Canada, Rouillard, Swick, Hyde, and Varley Parks, utilizing materials like 150mm panel drains and HDPE piping. The contract period is intended to run until October 31, 2027, with construction scheduled to begin on April 15, 2027. Award selection is based on a three-stage evaluation process focusing on pricing (50%), experience and qualifications (25%), work plan and schedule (20%), and Indigenous participation (5%). The successful contractor must provide a performance bond, a labour and material payment bond, and proof of insurance before work commences. Compliance requirements include adhering to the National Building Code of Canada, implementing a comprehensive safety manual and Environmental Management Plan, and following specific tree protection protocols. Payments are processed monthly via progress claims submitted to the Project Engineer.
